How to Become a KAPU Educator

At KAPU, we are committed to elevating the nail industry through structured education and professional development. Our educator program is designed for experienced nail technicians who are passionate about teaching and wish to share their expertise with others.

Upon completion of all KAPU ACADEMY level 1 -3 courses, licensed nail techs are eligible to take KAPU ACADEMY courses level 4 & 5 to become a KAPU Educator and brand ambassador.

Application Process

Complete Required Courses

Begin with Level 1 and progress through each level sequentially.

Submit Work Samples

After completing Level 1, 2 and 3, submit high-resolution photos of your work, including:

  • Top/overhead view
  • Side views (left and right)
  • Frontal view (free edge/c-curve)

Schedule Level 4 & 5 Examinations

Once all coursework and submissions are complete, schedule your Level 4 and Level 5 exams through our online portal.

Pass Examinations

  1. Achieve a minimum score of 80% on both the level 4 written exam and the level 5 practical exam.

Submit Educator Profile

Provide a full biography and your plans as a KAPU Educator.

Must hold a Level 3 Certificate and be a licensed nail technician.

Level 4 Course: Theoretical Examination

Examination

Online Written Test:

  • Theory questions from all previous levels
  • Safety, product chemistry, and technique logic
  • Case-based education scenarios and problem-solving 

Passing Score: A minimum of 80% is required to proceed.

What you'll Recieve

Upon passing, participants will receive a Level 4 Instructor Certificate and be eligible to take the level 5 final practical exam and become a KAPU Educator.

Level 5 Course: Practical Examination

Showcase your mastery and step into the spotlight. In this final exam, you’ll demonstrate your technique, creativity, and teaching skills live. From flawless gel work to your signature design, prove you’re ready to lead—and earn your place as a certified KAPU Educator.

  • Live Zoom demonstration of:
  • E-file technique (hands or feet)
  • Gel application and shaping
  • French, Ombre, and one original artistic design of your choice. 
  • Educator readiness interview
  • Review of your submitted educator plan and photos
